A 2018 survey by OnePoll revealed a statistic that may shock you: nearly 30% of millennial respondents admitted to only brushing their teeth once each day. Even more jaw dropping, of the 2,000 respondents polled, more than half admitted that they’ve gone more than two days without brushing their teeth on at least one occasion.
As your partner in oral health, we see it as our job to help patients of all ages stick to healthy dental habits. If you’ve fallen out of a proper hygiene routine, here are a few tips to get you back into the rhythm:
1. Make brushing your top priority in the morning. As soon as you get out of bed, head for the bathroom and brush your teeth.
2. Add crunchy vegetables to your lunches. They help remove plaque buildup on the teeth.
3. If it’s been more than six months since we’ve seen you, book a checkup and clean.
