What if my child needs a filling? Do you offer sedation?

Should I stay with my child during their appointment?
That’s entirely up to you and your child. Many younger children feel more comfortable with a parent present, while older children often prefer a bit of independence. We’re flexible and will do whatever helps your child feel most at ease.
My child sucks their thumb. Will this damage their teeth?
Thumb sucking is normal in young children and usually stops naturally between ages 2-4. If the habit continues past age 5-6 when permanent teeth begin emerging, it can affect tooth alignment and jaw development. We can discuss gentle strategies to help your child stop if needed.
Do you bulk bill for children's dental care?
We’re a private practice and don’t bulk bill, however we work with all major health funds and can process your claim on the spot through HICAPS. Children may also be eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) providing benefits over two years. We’ll help you understand your coverage options.
My child plays sport. Should they wear a mouthguard?
Absolutely! Custom-fitted mouthguards provide the best protection for your child’s teeth during contact sports or high-impact activities. We can create a properly fitted mouthguard that’s comfortable and offers superior protection compared to over-the-counter options.
